What is the job:
This role seeks a highly skilled, end-to-end
Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist
capable of managing the entire data lifecycle—from source system integration and data engineering to advanced analytics and process design. The ideal candidate will bridge technical implementation with strategic business insight.

What will you do?
The BI Specialist will own the following end-to-end tasks:

• Data Architecture & Engineering: Design, build, and optimize data models and robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from various source systems, ensuring scalability and performance in Snowflake.
• Source System Interrogation: Act as the subject matter expert on key source systems (Oracle Fusion, Salesforce), understanding data quality issues and mapping business transactions to database tables.
• Analytics & Reporting: Develop, maintain, and publish high-impact, interactive dashboards and reports using the primary BI tool to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Operations).
• Process Design & Requirements: Partner with business units to define KPIs, gather detailed requirements, map current and future state processes, and translate these needs into technical specifications.
• Quality & Governance: Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and documentation to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of all data used for reporting and decision-making.

What you need:

• Data Warehouse: Deep, practical expertise with Snowflake (design, optimization, and administration).
• Programming: Proficiency in Python and Snowflake SQL Scripting (for scripting, data manipulation, and automation).
• Data Engineering (ETL/ELT): Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines using any major ETL/ELT tool or framework.
• Data Modelling: Strong understanding of dimensional modelling (Star and Snowflake schemas) combined with experience defining data structures using YAML.
• BI Tool Mastery: Expertise in Power BI platform for dashboard design, development, and report publishing.
• Source Systems: Practical knowledge of data structures, schema complexity, and efficient extraction methods for major enterprise systems, specifically Oracle Fusion and / or Salesforce.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in the High-Tech sector.
• Education: A strong analytical and foundational background, evidenced by a degree of at least BE, BSc, or BA in Economics from a University.
• Core Tasks: Demonstrated ability to perform end-to-end BI tasks, including requirements gathering, process design, data engineering, and data analytics.

Ability to support the following:

• Databases: Experience with Oracle and SQL Server.
• ETL Orchestration: Experience with modern orchestration and transformation tools like Airflow or DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Programming: Experience with Oracle PL/SQL or Javascript.
• BI Tools: Experience with Oracle BI or Tableau.
• Generative AI/ML Concepts: Exposure to or experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), LLM (Large Language Models), and broader AI/ML concepts, particularly as they apply to enhancing data analysis, reporting, and natural language querying of data.
