Why Lytx
The Sr. Manager of Device Software at Lytx leads a talented Device Software Engineering team. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact road safety.

Together with the Embedded Software Team, you will build our Embedded Platform, and work with our cross-functional partners to drive the continued development of our market leading Video Telematics Recorders.

Day To Day

  • You will promote professional and technical growth for the Device Software team through mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • You will establish standards of code quality and code review which allow your team to confidently change software.
  • You will drive strategy, architecture, design, implementation and monitoring of Lytx Video Telematics Recorders.
  • You will build roadmaps which dovetail product development needs with technology improvement.
  • You will drive feature development with a platform architecture in mind, partitioning optimally between hardware, edge, and cloud.
  • You will work cross-functionally with the hardware engineering, field installation, product management, and technical support teams to ensure Lytx customers experience the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • You will collaborate closely with the Device Platform Cloud team to maximize the customer value of our Video Telematics Recorders.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of testing, build, continuous integration, deployment & continuous monitoring of embedded Linux systems.
  • You have a technical background but know that your skills are more valuable enhancing the work of others.
  • Conversant in programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust.
  • You understand the importance of software processes and testing in service of software engineering.
  • 10+ years related experience developing commercial products, including 4+ years leading and managing teams.
