As a Team Leader, your primary focus will be on designing and implementing innovative features, leading improvements in architecture, and ensuring the seamless operation and enhancement of existing modules. You will provide both technical guidance and organizational leadership, fostering the growth of your team while upholding exceptional standards in engineering and delivery.
In this role, you will act as the primary liaison for customer-facing teams, including Professional Services and other teams. You'll need to ensure alignment with their objectives and effectively address customer requirements. Participating in customer meetings will be an integral part of your day-to-day responsibilities, enabling you to gather valuable feedback, understand customer needs, and drive overall satisfaction.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will serve as the central point of contact among various teams, including those in engineering and customer relations. Your ability to navigate these interfaces will play a vital role in the success of our initiatives and customer relationships.
What you'll do:
Lead a team of skilled engineers, providing technical guidance and people management.
Take complete ownership of a critical area in our pricing and rating engine, leading both delivery and long-term direction.
Coach and mentor developers, fostering both technical and leadership growth.
Promote continuous improvement of development practices, processes, and team agility.
Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and cross-functional teams to align priorities and drive impact.
Participate in and lead high-level design and architecture discussions.
Interface with customer-facing teams, such as Professional Services and Customer Satisfaction, and others, to ensure alignment and address customer needs.
Travel to customer meetings to gather feedback, understand requirements, and ensure customer satisfaction.
You'll do it using:
5 years of experience as a team leader, preferably with a full-stack team.
Strong backend development skills in Java (experience in Python is a plus).
Hands-on experience in building performant, scalable systems.
Experience with full-stack development is an advantage.
Familiarity with both monolithic and microservices architectures.
Experience with Docker/Kubernetes – an advantage.
Agile mindset with practical experience in Scrum methodologies.
Strong customer-facing orientation.
Experience in working with offshore teams.
Willingness to travel to customer sites on a bi-monthly basis.

Salary Range:
$210,000-$240,000
