We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead all technical strategy, development, and product execution for a rapidly scaling mobile technology platform. This is a full-time leadership role responsible for driving innovation, managing engineering operations, and overseeing all aspects of product architecture across iOS, Android, and web.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the full development team.
  • Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with product vision and business goals.
  • Lead architectural decisions for mobile apps, backend systems, cloud infrastructure, APIs, data integrations, and third-party services.
  • Establish engineering best practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, version control, and scalable development workflows.
  • Ensure high performance and stability across all products, implementing strong QA and testing standards.
  • Oversee implementation of new product features, subscription systems, mapping/data layers, community tools, and advanced backend features.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and lead technical negotiations when needed.
  • Optimize product scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.
  • Recruit, hire, and mentor engineering team members as the platform grows.
  • Collaborate directly with the founder/CEO on technical decision-making, timelines, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a senior engineering or CTO-level role (startup or fast-growth environment preferred).
  • Proven experience leading teams that build and scale mobile applications (iOS & Android).
  • Strong proficiency in full-stack development, cloud architecture, and API integration.
  • Experience with mapping technologies, scheduling systems, or large-scale community platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building products from the ground up.
