Your impact
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will own and drive end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the assigned payroll portfolio. You will act as a trusted expert, proactively identifying improvements, managing risks, and supporting audits, while contributing to a smooth and compliant payroll experience for employees and stakeholders.
What the role offers
- End-to-end payroll processing using the Hargal payroll system
- Full responsibility for payroll administration, including benefits, compliance, tax, and financial year-end activities
- Involvement in internal and external audits, finance queries, banking, and treasury-related activities
- Management of payroll payments and all related compliance administration
- Opportunity to support and train team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
- Participation in process improvement initiatives and small-scale payroll projects
- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, and external partners
- Active role in ensuring compliance with GDPR, company policies, and regulatory requirements
What you need to succeed
- 5+ years of payroll experience, with strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes
- Experience with Hargal payroll system or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, and compliance processes
- Experience in end-of-employment processes (including notifications, 161 forms, Section 14, and severance law)
- Knowledge of onboarding processes and implementation of different contract types (monthly/hourly)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with incomplete or complex data
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to perform root cause analysis, manage risks, and improve processes
- Confident communicator who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and guide others
