Role Description

We are seeking a C++ developer with proven experience in ATM systems to take part in the end-to-end development of a next generation ATM platform for a financial institution. The role involves working with ATM hardware components, implementing secure transaction workflows, and integrating with core banking systems. This position is suitable for candidates who have hands-on experience in the ATM industry and are looking to contribute to a strategic, high-impact project in a hybrid work environment. Employment can be offered either as a full-time position or freelance engagement.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in developing C++ applications for ATM systems-
    must have
  • Proven experience with ATM communication protocols
  • Experience working with ATM hardware components (cash dispenser, PIN pad, card reader)
  • Background in Embedded or Real-Time systems
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of development from concept to deployment
  • English at a professional working level (writing and communication)

Preferred / Advantageous

  • Experience with ATM vendors such as NCR, Diebold, Wincor Nixdorf
  • Practical knowledge of EMV standards, card readers, encryption and secure transaction flows
  • Knowledge of ISO8583 or other financial messaging standards
  • Background in banking or financial institutions
  • Experience integrating ATM software with backend transaction switches or host systems
