As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be a significant part of leading our technology evolution. You'll design, implement and restructure complex scalable systems.

What you'll be doing:

Responsible for implementing business functionality in a microservices based system from planning to production

Take part of all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, testing and deployment

Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of new product features / components

Ensuring compliance with various quality attributes, such as performance, availability, scaleability, etc., while maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design

Work with a small, cross-functional team on products and features that drive growth

Research, suggest, and integrate new technologies to boost our products impact

Drive the product development by making important technical decisions, influencing the system architecture, development practices and more

Requirements:

6+ years experience in backend software development in , Python or similar

Experience in designing, implementing, deploying and maintaining a high scale, production-grade system

Experience with event-driven microservices systems

Hands-on experience implementing RESTful/RPC APIs and message-based inter-service communication

Strong OOP/OOD and design patterns

Hands-on experience with SQL & NoSQL databases such as MongoDb, Redis, DynamoDB, or similar data stores

Prior experience with Cloud Services and Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) and working in microservices distributed environments (Docker / Swarm, Kubernetes)

Solid system design/architecture skills and a technological expertise

Drive to promote quality and lead continuous improvements in your team's ways of work

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
