A leading consumer-focused company is seeking a
Data Engineer
for a hands-on role that combines ownership over modern data infrastructure with involvement in full-stack application development.

This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable data platforms in AWS, while also working closely with application and product teams to connect data pipelines with backend and product-facing systems.

Hybrid work model - 2 days from home

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain
    end-to-end data pipelines
    in AWS
  • Work with
    Amazon S3 as the central Data Lake
  • Query, analyze, and optimize data using
    Amazon Athena
  • Develop ETL / ELT processes and data automations using
    Python
  • Ensure data quality, schema consistency, and reliability across the data lifecycle
  • Integrate data from internal and external systems
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to support data-driven solutions

Full-Stack & Application Responsibilities

  • Participate in development of
    backend services and APIs
    that consume and expose data
  • Contribute to
    application-level features
    where data meets the product
  • Work in close collaboration with frontend and backend engineers
  • Support scalable, cloud-native services as part of a broader engineering team

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend Engineering with a strong data focus
  • Mandatory experience with Python
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with AWS
  • Mandatory experience with Amazon S3 and/or Athena
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL / ELT processes, and cloud-based data architectures
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment

Advantage:

  • Experience in
