Papaya is launching a new game-changing initiative, and we're looking for a passionate and driven Backend Engineer to join our core team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence the early stages of an exciting B2C product.

Location & Work Environment:

  • Based in Tel Aviv, hybrid working model (4 days in the office, 1 day working from home).
  • Work within a small, dynamic team that is part of an independent startup, but with the support and benefits of Papaya.
  • You'll be part of an exciting B2C platform where the product is colorful, engaging, and always evolving.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver user-centered UI/UX for mobile games and social platforms.
  • Build and maintain design systems across platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and creative teams.
  • Create engaging user flows and visually compelling interfaces.
  • Deliver lightweight animations (Lottie, After Effects, or Lottie Editor).
  • Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, MidJourney, generative platforms) to create high-quality design assets efficiently.
  • Integrate social network experiences (Snapchat, TikTok, Discord, Instagram) into product design.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
  • Proven background in gaming (mandatory).
  • Experience with applications, platforms, and design systems.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing cross-device product design.
  • Expertise with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Passion for gaming, social platforms, and startup culture.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience designing interactive gameplay animations.
  • Background in hyper-casual game design.
  • Solid understanding of game mechanics.
  • Experience crafting social-first features (feeds, challenges, sharing, user profiles).
