We are looking for an experienced
Automation Team Lead
to build, lead, and mentor our automation team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and driving best practices across the organization. You will collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to define automation strategies, streamline testing processes, and improve overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.
  • Define, design, and implement test automation frameworks and strategies across multiple products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for automation coding, test design, and documentation.
  • Drive automation coverage for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve automation systems to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Track and report automation progress, coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Identify process gaps and continuously improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and automation.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring automation teams.
  • Strong experience with at least one major automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar).
  • Hands-on coding skills in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven ability to design automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.

Nice to Hve

  • Experience in performance testing and monitoring tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, k6).
  • Knowledge of security testing automation.
  • Background in hardware/software system testing (if relevant to your company).
  • Familiarity with data-driven testing and analytics.
