Malware Analyst

One of the biggest cybersecurity companies is looking for a Malware Analyst

This role is a 1-year contract

Hybrid, Tel Aviv

The team is responsible for developing and improving anti-malware detection and prevention capabilities. The role includes having top-notch knowledge about the latest malware families in the wild, OS internals, and different attack frameworks. Moreover – the team analyzes customer issues to help prevent malicious activities in customers' networks and help to improve the product by developing cutting-edge signatures to stop the attacks in the earliest stage possible.

Your Impact

  • Work in close coordination with other research teams in Israel and around the world
  • Work closely with support, sales, and other cross-functional teams
  • Analyze malware and keep an up-to-date overview of the current threat landscape
  • Take part in digitization efforts to automate routine playbooks and always be on the lookout for opportunities for automation
  • Handle daily tasks such as false positive/false negative malware detection events, ad-hoc assignments and lead small projects such automating processes - as needed

  • Experience developing signatures using Yara - advantage
  • Experience developing IPS signatures - advantage
  • Experience using git - advantage
  • Experience using BigQuery or other SQL based querying languages - advantage
  • Previous experience in security research/analysis/soc/pen test roles - advantage
  • Experience identifying, investigating, and responding to complex attacks - advantage
