The Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
Job Description:
Detailed below are the key responsibilities of this part-time position:
1. Deliver occupational therapy services to students in conjunction with the educational team, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
2. Collaborate and communicate effectively with staff, administrators, and parents to ensure seamless service delivery and maximize student outcomes.
3. Maintain highly organized records and documentation for services provided and implemented plans, including daily notes, observations, evaluations, and written reports.
4. Consult with parents and school staff to provide suggestions for intervention activities that can be adapted for both home and school settings.
5. Recommend and design adaptive equipment as needed to support students' academic and personal development.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
1. Illinois State License as an Occupational Therapist
2. Recent experience working as a school-based OT
