Overview of the Role

As a seasoned Backend Developer, you will play a vital role in shaping our Cortex Cloud platform. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in developing and enhancing code security products.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying robust backend features, ensuring high-performance systems and scalable architectures. Your work will directly impact our customers' digital security and contribute to our mission of preventing cyberattacks.

Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Develop and enhance code security products using industry-leading practices.
  • Feature Development: Design, implement, and deploy complex backend features from start to finish, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Scalability and Architecture: Design and implement scalable architectures that support high-volume environments and optimize system performance.
  • Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot bugs, optimize workflows, and ensure efficient data management.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Backend Developer with a strong focus on cloud security.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript development and experience working with live production systems at scale.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and Argo Workflow, with knowledge of BigQuery database systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies.
  • Experience with GCP or another cloud provider, with a strong understanding of cloud security principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent military experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages, such as Python.
  • Familiarity with Software Composition Analysis (SCA), including secrets management, license compliance, and dependency vulnerability analysis.
