Job Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our care team, providing direct care to residents and supervising activities performed by nursing assistants.

  • This role involves promptly charting and maintaining documentation for residents, preparing and administering medications as needed, and developing a positive working rapport with all team members.
Responsibilities

As an LPN, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Supervising and delegating tasks to nursing assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of resident interactions, treatments, and progress.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid, current nursing license in Illinois.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • At least one year of experience in long-term care, preferably in a similar setting.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in nursing is preferred but not required.
