Crown CAPP Division USA – Aurora plant is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance. As a key member of the team, the Manager, Quality Assurance will lead and administer the Quality program at our Aurora, Illinois location. This is a salaried position in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment where compliance to all safety policies, procedures and regulations is our way of doing business. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who are committed to customer quality, continuous improvement and achieving World Class Performance. The Manager, Quality Assurance will function as the SQF Practitioner and will ensure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems; validating processes; providing good customer relations, documentation and managing staff. The Manager, Quality Assurance ensures that all external and internal requirements are met before products reach our customers, inspecting procedures, outputs and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues. An excellent Quality Assurance Manager has eyes for detail and solid experience in quality control and root cause analysis. The ideal candidate is a reliable and competent professional. The goal is to assure the high quality of our operations and services aiming to the long-term success of our business. Qualifications : The successful candidate’s skill requirements will include but not be limited to the following: Proven experience as a quality assurance supervisor or relevant role. Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards. Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods. Outstanding communication and conflict resolution skills (oral and written). Ability to work with internal and external customers using RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methods, fishbone and 5-why’s to help solve problems and prevent repeat occurrences. Experience with root cause analysis, customer complaints and supplier compliance. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities; attention to detail and a result driven approach. Bachelor’s degree Minimum five (5) years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with proven Quality Management System oversight capability. Experience supervising subordinates is highly preferred. Proficient in MS Office. Excellent grasp and understanding of SQF and SPC (Statistical Process Control). Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or color management or strong ISO background is a plus. Basic understanding of HACCP and GMPs. Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability. Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy Physical Requirements & Working conditions: While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and maybe be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Generally works in an office and/or plant environment. The employee may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures The employee may be exposed to loud machinery.
