The world of quantum computing is evolving rapidly, with immense effort invested across the industry. Modeling a quantum program at scale—and achieving the best possible results—is a complex and challenging task.

Classiq Technologies is a quantum software company based in Tel Aviv. We provide a full-stack platform—IDE, high-level language (Qmod), compiler, and OS—for designing, compiling, and running quantum algorithms. Backed by 70 patents and a recent 110$ round C funding round, our technology automates quantum programming and turns functional intent into executable quantum circuits. Our core compiler technology scales quantum algorithms from concept to implementation, making quantum software development faster and more practical.

We're seeking an R&D Team Lead with a strong background in software engineering and algorithms, alongside proven leadership capabilities. This role is ideal for someone eager to build cutting-edge tools that bridge quantum theory with practical software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of talented quantum software engineers
  • Drive the development of qmod, Classiq's high-level quantum modeling language
  • Guide the design and implementation of quantum circuit synthesis and optimization algorithms
  • Integrate advanced quantum concepts to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience
  • Uphold high standards of architecture, code quality, and maintainability
  • Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence
  • Collaborate closely with product and algorithm teams to deliver intuitive, productionready quantum capabilities

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on software development experience, especially in Python
  • Strong academic background: M.Sc. or higher in Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field
  • Experience leading R&D or engineering teams
  • Deep understanding of algorithms, programming languages, or compiler theory
  • Strategic thinking combined with a strong execution mindset
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Passion for building tools that empower developers and researchers
