Position Description
The Data Innovation team is seeking a Senior / Lead Innovator—a highly skilled backend developer with a passion for creativity and innovation. In this role, you will play a key part in our high-performing development team, driving the design and implementation of our next-generation Data Observability platform. This position offers the opportunity to blend strong technical expertise with innovative problem-solving, helping shape the future of data reliability and insights within our organization.

Primary Roles And Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of new features for our Data Observability platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Perform ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, and optimizations to ensure reliability.
• Investigate and evaluate existing market solutions and third-party tools to identify opportunities for integration and enhancement of platform capabilities.
• Work with a globally distributed team, collaborate with product owners and architects to understand requirements, present options, and design solutions.
• Working on an Agile team, contribute to Agile ceremonies, including participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Analyze project progress and technical issues, providing clear, concise, and timely updates—both written and verbal—on status, risks, and solution options to teammates and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skillset

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a backend / full-stack Java software developer with Python as a primary languages / or Python Developer with Java
• 6+ years in Python language coding experience
• Excellent grasp of OOP principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
• Experience with modern storage solutions, including both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, DynamoDB) and cloud platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Big Query)
• Exposure to distributed systems, messaging platforms (like Kafka or similar), and microservices architectures.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, etc.
• Preferably, experience working with data-centric applications, e.g., data pipelines, data quality, or monitoring systems.
• Exposure to cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled systems, including design of APIs or microservices that integrate machine-learning or LLM components is a plus.
