Backend Team Lead

Description:
As a Backend Team Lead at , you'll lead and mentor a team of backend engineers and be responsible for developing and maintaining the connectivity infrastructure that integrates our platform with customers' financial systems. This team builds and optimizes the core backend services that retrieve, process, and manage financial data—forming the foundation of our AI-driven treasury operations platform. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the performance, resilience, and scalability of our backend systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (team lead, tech lead, or mentoring developers).
  • Extensive knowledge of backend development and software architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in C, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with REST API development – Advantage.
  • Experience with scraper development – Advantage.
  • Solid understanding of databases and experience working with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, mainly AWS.Deep understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Adaptability and a proactive attitude.
  • Experience in the fintech or financial services industry – Advantage.
  • Previous experience in a startup or small company environment – Advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, fostering growth and maintaining high coding standards.
  • Take full ownership of developing and maintaining our connectivity backend solution, ensuring its performance, resilience, and scalability.
  • Design and implement robust, high-performance services that integrate with banks, ERPs, PSPs, and other financial systems.
  • Drive technical decisions and ensure best practices in software architecture and backend infrastructure.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability challenges.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and improve development workflows.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and data analysts to develop and optimize platform features.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and apply new technologies to enhance our platform.
