We're looking for a
Senior Android Developer
to join our team and take a leading role in an ongoing project developing a high-performance Android SDK. This SDK powers video playback and monetization for major publishers and includes advanced integrations with
ExoPlayer
,
Google's IMA SDK (Ads)
,
Prebid Mobile
, and other advertising and analytics platforms.

This role is perfect for a developer who has deep experience building Android libraries, thrives in technically complex environments, and is comfortable working with media frameworks and real-time integrations. You'll collaborate directly with our senior team and work in a fast-paced environment that values clean, testable code and pragmatic engineering decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a production-grade Android SDK with a focus on media playback and advertising.
  • Integrate and customize
    ExoPlayer
    ,
    IMA SDK
    , and
    Prebid Mobile
    within the SDK.
  • Build robust APIs and internal components for client app integration.
  • Ensure the SDK is modular, efficient, and developer-friendly.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to video rendering, ad loading, and event tracking.
  • Work closely with client teams to support integration and resolve edge cases.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Kotlin code.
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions, code reviews, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Android development, with strong Kotlin proficiency.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining Android SDKs or libraries.
  • In-depth experience with
    ExoPlayer
    and media playback pipelines.
  • Experience with ad tech integrations:
    IMA SDK
    ,
    Prebid
    ,
    VAST
    ,
    VPAID
    , etc.
  • Strong understanding of Android internals, threading, memory management, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with event tracking, analytics SDKs, and custom player overlays.
  • Comfortable debugging media playback issues and managing various device configurations.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools, Git, and modern Android build systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with multi-tenant SDKs used across multiple apps.
  • Familiarity with server-side ad stitching (SSAI) or client-side ad management strategies.
  • Previous work with publishers or media companies.
  • Knowledge of video encoding, DRM, and HLS/DASH streaming nuances.
  • Experience with cross-platform media solutions (e.g., React Native or Flutter integrations).
