Yoqneam Illit, Northern District, Israel ACS Motion Control Full time ₪90,000 - ₪120,000 per year

End-to-end leadership of the Test Engineering and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) domain — including strategy, multi-year planning, standardization, documentation, and maintenance — combined with active, hands-on involvement in the development and deployment of testers. The role includes day-to-day operational leadership of the ATE team and close collaboration with Engineering, R&D, NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT/IS.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Build a multi‑year roadmap for ATE: unified architecture for testers/simulators, software/hardware standards, and quality gates across NPI.
  • Define KPIs, test coverage, tester availability, MTBF.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and alignment with evolving market standards.
  • Own budget and control development/replication costs of testers.

People & Process Management

  • Direct management of ATE engineers/technicians (2-3 employees): hiring, mentoring, professional growth, and prioritization.
  • Ongoing coordination of team activities with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement/Logistics, and NPI.

Hands‑On Tester Development & Deployment

  • Actively participate in defining test requirements (TR/ATP), designing and building testers/simulators (HW/SW/mechanics), with emphasis on hardware.
  • Lead hands-on bring-up, troubleshooting, and transfer to PRR and production — including Safety and Serviceability.
  • Maintain personal technical involvement in key development stages and critical problem-solving.

Reliability, Maintenance & Operations

  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance policies (PM/CM) for all testers: electrical safety/ESD standards, configuration control, and software versioning.
  • Manage manufacturing SLAs: response times to faults, monitor tester availability and readiness, and conduct periodic Learn & Lesson reviews.

Quality & Compliance

  • Comply with organizational procedures and relevant standards (including ISO 9001/plant safety procedures) for testing, documentation, and controls.
  • Own standardization of documents (TR/ATP/SOW/work instructions) and maintain traceability.

Information Systems Interfaces

  • Integrate ATE with MES/ERP/PLM systems; automate test release and traceability processes.
  • Leverage BI/Analytics tools for quality investigations, RMAs, and failure trends.
Requirements

Must:

  • B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or experienced Electrical practical engineer/technician.
  • 7+ years of experience developing ATE for production lines (architecture, UUT integration, transition to production).
  • 3–5+ years of managerial experience leading teams/leads and managing cross‑functional interfaces.
  • Experience in HW design (OrCAD/Allegro), bring‑up and troubleshooting skills.
  • High proficiency in Hebrew and English; strong leadership and influence skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Practical familiarity with EDT/DVT/PRR, test coverage methodologies, and ATP.
  • Integration experience with MES/ERP.
  • Proven experience in tester software development: LabVIEW or equivalent.
