A Day in the Life – Job description

As our Hardware Verification engineer, your Key Accountabilities will involve:

• Design of verification testing for hardware and embedded software (firmware) using manual and automated testing.

• Review new and modified product designs for quality characteristics, including manufacturability, serviceability, testability, reliability, and product requirements.

• Creation of verification and validation test plans, protocols and reports. Oversee testing and analysis for standards and product requirements compliance.

• Translate product and system requirements into testing protocols  

• Perform hardware verification testing of power, logic, analog and mechanical designs.

Must Haves

• BSc Electrical engineering or related discipline with at least 2 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including protocol / report development and technical presentations.
• Experience of verification/validation tests plan (protocol) design, test execution and test reports

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge in Python and/or other development environments
• Automation test design
• Software testing Experience with environmental testing such as transportation conditions – shocks, vibrations, temperature and humidity
• Knowledge and/or experience with hardware reliability testing – sample size calculation, DOE, shelf life, HALT, etc
• Knowledge in EMI / EMC and environmental standards with hands on experience in qualification testing procedures.
• Experience with standards compliance testing such as IEC
