The head of Finance will report to Riseup's COO. 

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on business-oriente

d Head of Finance
- Responsible for preparing the company business plan, financial model, balance sheet & cash flow statements, vendor payments, tax, budget, audits etc.
- Prepare and present monthly & quarterly periodicals to the board
- Prepare and present monthly budget vs actuals to the company leadership
- Responsible for the company's pricing model
- Work with external service providers for payroll, pensions, and annual reports
- Presentations to investors
- Contract negotiations
- Analyze financial data and operations to assist and advise management in maintaining the company's financial objectives
- Set KPIs and performance targets for each functional area to grow overall effectiveness
- Work with external auditors and advisors on the preparation of consolidated financial statements, local reporting, and tax filings.
- Cash flow management
- Other finance and administrative duties as required

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will serve as a leader and key advisor to the executive team. As a seasoned financial leader, you must exercise an entrepreneurial spirit and effective communication approach to create a high-performance culture that ultimately improves our bottom line.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 7–8 years of relevant experience in finance.
  • Previous employment at a large accounting firm, followed by at least one in-house finance or FP&A role or controller and FP&A role
  • experience in the Hi-Tech domain an advantage
  • B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (M.A. preferred)
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, KPI management, and financial modeling
  • Business/Commercial experience (not consulting-only)
  • Background with the software development industry/B2B SaaS
  • Experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues
  • Experience in pricing software, costing, budgeting, negotiations
  • Experience with multi-jurisdictional tax and financial issues
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong business acumen
  • High attention to detail combined with the ability to see the wider strategic picture
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to simplify complex financial data.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence stakeholders
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency..
  • CF management experience
  • Fluency in Hebrew and English
