THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven professional to join our team as the Managing Director (MD) for Israel. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our Israeli Human Health organization, driving growth, and contributing to the overall success of our company. In addition, you will play a leadership role in the Israeli Country Council, collaborating with senior leaders across all divisions, driving a one Israel approach. Reporting to the Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (EEMEA) Regional Lead and collaborating with the EEMEA Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our business in Israel.
 

RESPONSIBILTIES

In this role, you will shape the future,

Be a Strategy Architect

  • Lead a cross-functional market leadership team around strategic objectives that will deliver both short-term and long-term business outcomes aligned with local market and enterprise priorities.
  • Translate strategic priorities, aligned with regional and global strategies, into measurable actions and implementable outcomes, both in public and private segments.
     

Shape the Environment and be a Spokesperson

  • Effectively engage external stakeholders either directly or via industry or similar coalitions, to shape market environment to the benefit of our company or patients served.
  • Impactfully communicate on behalf of the company in external forums or via media.
     

Be a Reputational Steward

  • Role model and uphold our company values and standards to ensure compliance across all functions and levels.

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the operational choices that impact both short and long-term financial outcomes and take accountability for those choices.

Be an Enterprise Commercial Leader and Secure Business Continuity

  • Understand and develop meaningful insights about market environment and business drivers, formulate strategies and plans to unleash opportunities, and ensure execution through resource allocation and organizational adaptation.
  • Directly, or via the team, identify, understand, engage, build trust with, and influence the perceptions and behaviors of our customers.
  • Drive digital and agile transformation within the organization, building upon existing digital infrastructure and ways of working to enhance customer engagement, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Lead market-level business continuity governance groups to ensure both forward looking planning and preparation in addition to coordinating potential crisis management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably in a senior management capacity.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving growth and delivering results.
  • Experience in managing P&L responsibilities, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and build relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performance teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make sound business decisions.
  • Proven experience in driving digital transformation and leveraging technology for business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and regulatory environment in Israel.
  • University degree from accredited university, preferably in Pharmacy, Medicine, Engineering, Economics, BA, Finance or similar.
  • An advanced degree in graduate studies (MA, MBA, or Bioscience or Medical Doctor) is a plus.
  • Fluency in Hebrew and English required
