Associate Cyber Intelligence Analyst

Rapid7 has created a threat intelligence practice which is a market shifting solution to DETECT, ANALYZE and REMEDIATE all kinds of threats and malicious information in the clear, dark & deep web. We are searching for a highly motivated analyst to investigate trending cyber events, track threat actors, and protect our customers from emerging risks.

About the Team

The Threat Intelligence team provides customers with timely, actionable intelligence to help them detect, analyze, and mitigate cyber threats. By leveraging a combination of advanced tools, manual analysis, and collaboration with global stakeholders, the team ensures customers stay ahead of emerging threats. 

About the Role

 As an Associate Cyber Intelligence Analyst at Rapid7, your primary responsibility will be to investigate and analyze global cyber events and emerging threats to identify, track, and disrupt threat actor activity. As an Associate Cyber Intelligence Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to investigate and analyze global cyber events and emerging threats to identify, track, and disrupt threat actor activity, with a core focus on brand protection and phishing defense. Specifically, your focus will be to:  

  • Perform alert review on areas including phishing and social media monitoring.

  • Monitor and detect brand security protection on multiple social media platforms.

  • Assist with use case development, query development, and alert tuning.

  • Produce intelligence outputs to provide an accurate description of the current threat landscape.

  • Interface with customers' success and customers to consult with them on best security practices.

  • Self-awareness and the ability to proactively seek and apply feedback to improve performance

  • Proficiency in multiple languages (Advantage)

  • Experience with phishing and social media monitoring response (Advantage)
