About The PositionWe are seeking a highly experienced and senior sales professional to join our sales team, focused on the global defense market and advanced command and control solutions.
In this role, you will take full ownership of strategic sales opportunities, leading complex and long-cycle defense engagements from early shaping through contract award. You will play a key role in expanding our footprint with defense and security customers worldwide, serving as a trusted commercial and technical partner for our command and control offerings.
This is a hands-on, senior individual-contributor role with significant influence on revenue growth, customer relationships, and market positioning.
Responsibilities- Strategic End-to-End Sales Ownership: Lead complex defense sales opportunities across the full lifecycle, including opportunity identification, capture planning, customer engagement, proposal development, negotiations, contract closure, and post-award commercial follow-up
- Complex Defense Sales Leadership:
- Drive and coordinate multi-stakeholder sales processes involving customers, partners, system integrators, and internal teams, while navigating regulatory, security, and procurement constraints typical of defense programs
- Command & Control / C2-C4I Sales Expertise:
- Lead the positioning and sale of advanced command and control and C4I systems. Work closely with engineering, product management, and program teams to shape solutions that address operational, architectural, and mission-critical customer requirements.
- International Market Development:
- Lead and expand sales activities in international markets, including working with local partners, integrators, and government entities. Contribute to regional go-to-market strategies based on deep understanding of local defense ecosystems.
- Senior Technical & Operational Engagement:
- Act as a credible senior interface with customer technical, operational, and command-level stakeholders, clearly articulating system concepts, architectures, and operational value.
- Business Development & Opportunity Shaping:
- Identify emerging customer needs, influence requirements early, and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions, pricing strategy, and commercial structures.
- Customer Relationship Ownership:
- Establish and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with defense and security organizations, positioning the company as a strategic partner rather than a transactional supplier.
- Travel & Industry Presence:
- Represent the company in senior-level customer meetings, defense exhibitions, and international forums, supporting both active opportunities and long-term business development.
- Extensive experience selling command and control / C2-C4I solutions into the global defense market – a must.
- Minimum 8–10 years of successful sales experience in defense, including large, complex, and long-cycle programs.
- Proven ability to independently lead and close high-value opportunities.
- Strong capability in preparing commercial proposals, pricing models, and contractual inputs.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage deeply on command and control architectures and concepts.
- Proven experience working with defense, military, or national security organizations.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments and align multiple internal teams around sales objectives.
- Experience leading multi-proposal efforts and competitive tenders.
- Background in project or program management in defense – a strong advantage.
- Fluent English: additional European language is a plus.
- MBA or equivalent business education – an advantage
