Job Description -
Head of Development

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Head of Development to take ownership of an existing codebase following the MVP stage, and to lead the ongoing development, enhancement, and expansion of our system.

This is a key leadership position with both technological and managerial responsibilities, cross-team collaboration, and the opportunity to shape a product that's transforming the insurance and savings world.

What You'll Do:

  • Take full ownership of the existing codebase and infrastructure
  • Lead the platform's evolution - scaling, stabilization, and new feature development
  • Build, recruit, and mentor a high-performing development team
  • Collaborate closely with management, product, and external partners
  • Drive automation, DevOps, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements
:

  • At least 2 years of proven experience managing and scaling development teams – mandatory
  • Hands-on experience with Svelte, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS S3
  • Experience with PDF generation and digital signatures
  • Strong understanding of queue management and automation processes
  • Experience integrating with external APIs
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

Nice to Have:

  • Background in insurance, fintech, or SaaS
  • Experience with distributed infrastructures and managing production environments
