Position Summary:

Assist the Facilities Supervisor with the overall maintenance of the property; assures assets are maintained properly and life safety codes are adhered to.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes superior guest service.

• Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.

• Responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel.

• Repairs furniture, glass, tile, flooring, doors, and other high-level finishes.

• Proficient with saws, grinders, welders, and hand tools.

• Maintains inventory and ensures the timely replacement of required spare parts, units, tools, chemicals, and equipment necessary for efficiently maintaining proper operating conditions.

• Ensures that all equipment, materials, techniques, and procedures comply with federal, state, local codes, and regulations to the extent applicable.

• Prepare and layout projects.

• Ensures the appropriate flow of information and communication within the assigned departments to maximize efficiency and consistency in all operations.

• Estimate costs and finishes, work with wood, plastic, fiberglass, metal, and drywall.

• Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention and ensures that all team members are properly trained in safety policies and procedures.

• Develops partnerships with all departments to meet property goals and support superior guest service.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).

• Must be journeyman level in one or more of the following fields: Plumbing, Carpentry, Drywall/Painting, HVAC repair, or Electrical.

• Five (5) years of facilities operations and technical experience.

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.

• General knowledge of applicable building and fire codes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs, reach, stoop and stand for extended periods of time.

• Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.

• Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Shift Hours: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. OR 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Midnight to Weekends & Holidays Required
