Description

As our first Business Development Director in Germany, you'll act as the market builder - combining an entrepreneurial mindset, business development skills, and deep technical fluency, to launch Elsight's presence, build partnerships and long-term relationships, generate, expand and convert new and existing pipelines, and shape future regional success. You'll work across the B2B enterprise ecosystem, emphasizing drone manufacturers and industry market leaders. You'll also build strategic long-term relationships with partners, integrators, and other key stakeholders shaping the uncrewed systems market, positioning Elsight as their trusted partner. You'll report to the VP of Sales and be the pivotal link between your region and HQ.

Responsibilities

Pipeline Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by building a healthy, strategic pipeline in your region. Conduct market analysis, nurture partnerships, and expand Elsight's regional footprint. Attend industry events, lead demos, and present Elsight's vision with executive-level professionalism.Pipeline Conversion: Engage customers and partners, take ownership of existing prospects, and leverage technical-product fluency to convert leads into long-term business and sustainable revenue growth.Local HQ Liaison: Act as the voice of the regional market, coordinating with HQ teams to align strategy, share feedback, and drive execution.Team Building: As success is achieved and the role scales, recruit and manage a local team of GTM professionals.

 Ideal Candidate‎

A true hybrid intrapreneur operator with both technical depth and growth-focused business acumen - a builder who thrives in ambiguity and executes with full ownership.

Business Development Success: 3–5 years of experience in B2B tech, with a track record of pipeline creation, sustained opportunities, and regional market expansion.Technical Understanding: Proven ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders; significant advantage if experienced in defense-related or UxV markets.Entrepreneurial & Self-Driven: A resourceful and creative builder, passionate about building from scratch.Strong Execution Orientation: A hands-on operator, not only a strategist but accountable and results-oriented, with prior experience scaling operations.Pioneer & Trusted Partner: Able to represent Elsight, build trust, and ultimately lead a localized team.

Plus Factors (Highly Preferred):

Enterprise/ Government Experience: Proven track record in business development and demand generation, ideally in DoD-related markets.Startup DNA: Fast-paced, adaptive, and resilient background.Data-Savvy: Skilled at prioritizing leads, measuring performance, and applying repeatable processes.Exceptional Communication: Polished, persuasive, and fluent in native-level English.Early-Stage Startup Success: Demonstrated experience scaling a company from ~$5M to $30M ARR.International Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel internationally and the executive presence to represent Elsight on a global stage.
