Position Overview
Candex is seeking a Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist to join our team and support our global growth. In this role, you'll manage payroll, financial records, invoices, tax payments, and daily bank reconciliations. You'll report to the local Controller and play a key part in ensuring smooth financial operations across multiple countries.
The Role
- Recording transactions such as income and outgoings, and posting them to various accounts
- Recording and Processing payments
- Monthly tax reporting (VAT, withholding taxes, national insurance, income tax).
- Conducting daily banking activities
- Working with external auditors, tax authorities and vendors worldwide
- Producing various financial reports
- Reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements
- Support month-end close for legal entities in multiple countries
- Prepare local salaries
- There may be occasional business travel once or twice a year
Requirements
- Certified Bookkeeper
- 4+ years of bookkeeping experience
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing
- Experience with NetSuite ERP – Must
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP) – Must
- Strong knowledge of local tax reporting (VAT, WHT, national insurance, salary tax)
- Advanced English skills (written and spoken)
- Proven experience in bank reconciliations – Must
- Familiar with financial operations, including Accounts Payable and Receivable
