About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable backend systems. In this role, you will develop and maintain production-grade Python-based services and APIs, participate in high-level system design discussions, and drive key technical decisions. You will lead a cross-functional Scrum team and mentor junior and mid-level developers, collaborating closely with Product, DevOps, Data, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Staying current with Python frameworks and best practices is essential, and you will be a key promoter of their adoption across the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of scalable backend systems
• Develop and maintain production-grade Python-based services and APIs
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with strong test coverage (unit, integration, etc.)
• Participate in high-level system design discussions and drive key technical decisions
• Identify and resolve performance issues across services, databases, and infrastructure
• Lead a cross-functional Scrum team including frontend, backend, and QA engineers
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Data, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Stay current with Python frameworks, tools, and best practices, and promote their adoption

Requirements

• 5+ years
  of hands-on software development experience
• Strong
  Python
  programming skills and backend development experience
• Solid understanding of
  object-oriented and functional programming
  paradigms
• Experience with Python frameworks such as
  FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Proficient in working with
  relational databases
  (PostgreSQL / MSSQL) and
  NoSQL databases
  (MongoDB / Redis)
• Comfortable with
  Linux-based systems
  , networking concepts, and debugging tools
• Experience using
  Docker
  ,
  Git
  , and
  CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience in
  cloud environments
  such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Proven experience in leading or mentoring engineers and working within cross-functional teams
