Job Brief:

These requirements are necessary for your application to be considered

  • 7 years minimum of product management experience, including 2+ years in a senior leadership role (Director of Product or higher).
  • Proven experience leading B2C mobile app products, driving user engagement, retention, and growth across iOS and Android platforms

We're looking for a strategic, visionary, and passionate Head of Product to lead the team behind Vetted's mobile app — the heartbeat of our mission to deliver at-home pet care through fun, engaging features like rewards and gamification. As a player-coach, you'll both manage and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers while also rolling up your sleeves to contribute hands-on. You'll own the product strategy and roadmap, setting a clear vision for long-term growth and scalability while driving the team to achieve key milestones and hit critical KPI targets.

You'll partner closely with CEO, Marketing, and other stakeholders to deliver an intuitive, seamless experience for pet parents. From deeply understanding customer needs to defining and prioritizing features, and overseeing smooth launches, you'll lead the charge in transforming how pet parents stay engaged and connect with the vetted app.
Responsibilities for this role:

  • Own, define and drive the product strategy across the company's core platform, tools, and experiences, aligned with business and user goals
  • Direct and manage the product and design teams, mentoring product managers and designers while establishing best-in-class product practices, execution frameworks, and a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee and drive the full product lifecycle — from defining requirements and wireframing features to project managing builds, launches, and continuous iterations
  • Lead and manage the engineering agency relationship, ensuring deliverables meet scope, quality, and timelines.
  • Deeply understand what motivates and excites our users, turning those insights into rewarding app features that drive engagement, loyalty and repeat use
  • Balance and prioritize near-term delivery goals with strategic planning for future functionality and market expansion.
  • Partner with other departments to ensure success of product positioning and adoption
  • Define success metrics/outcomes and drive product outcomes using a data-informed approach.
  • Architect and refine the in-app rewards and game economy, ensuring the right balance between user incentives, retention, and sustainable business impact.
  • Create A/B testing and experimentation to validate product decisions and improve conversion, retention and engagement
  • Define, track, and be accountable for key product KPIs to measure success against company goals and inform strategic decisions.
  • Represent the product vision externally with advisors,partners, creators, and investors when needed

Requirements and Skills:

  • 7 years minimum of product management experience, including 2+ years in a senior leadership role (Director of Product or higher).
  • 7–10 years of progressive product leadership experience, including leading teams and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience leading B2C mobile app products, driving user engagement, retention, and growth across iOS and Android platforms
  • Approachable, personable, and human-centric attitude with a passion for creating innovative products that solve customer problems
  • Strong communication amongst cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach
  • Successful track record managing all stages of product lifecycle
  • Strong technical foundation with expertise in product design, UX/UI principles, software development processes, and modern web and mobile technologies
