In this position you will be responsible for the overall accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, etc.

• Oversee all aspects of general accounting, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), accounts payable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain robust internal controls and support external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with best practices and government contract requirements.
• Partner with FP&A and senior management to provide insights and financial analysis that support business performance and strategic initiatives.
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and career growth.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and government agencies as needed.
•   Support ad hoc analysis and projects, including system improvements and process automation.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3–5 years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX or similar).
• Experience in manufacturing environment (required) and/or project accounting within the government contracting industry (preferred). Federal contracts, DFAS/DCMA audits, and accounting system compliance with fixed price and cost-plus contracts experience preferred.
• Proven success managing a month-end close process and preparing financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Costpoint or similar) and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's degree preferred.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
