Windward's research leverages geospatial and textual data to model vessel behavior and maritime risks, translating these findings into actionable insights and measurable customer value. 

If you are a problem solver with passion for solving complex real data problems, deep understanding of data science and experience taking projects from ideation to production, we would be happy to meet you 

What will you do?

Develop and implement a variety of models (e.g., LLM, predictive models, classifiers, time series) on both public and proprietary dataLead projects from ideation to production, ensuring solutions are effective in real-world scenarios and monitored for quality over timeCollaborate with product managers to understand problems and define solutionsContribute to the research environment in order to improve the flexibility and quality of delivery Requirements

Who are you?

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field5+ years of experience in implementing machine learning algorithmsStrong understanding of ML concepts, including deep learningProficient in Python and experienced in bringing ideas to production, including coding, testing, and monitoringExcellent communication skills and working fluency in EnglishPragmatic problem solver who knows to choose the most practical solution not the most popular one

Bonus Qualifications:

Experience with transformer models and GenAIExperience working with geospatial data or time series analysisExperience with big data technologies (e.g. Spark)Familiarity with model deployment and experiment tracking tools (e.g., LangFuse/TorchServe)
