Are you a seasoned
Databricks Developer
ready to lead complex data transformation in a
Global BI Team
? We are seeking an experienced and cost-aware engineer to join a dynamic organization in the
Global Energy Sector
. This role is a unique blend of
Big Data Engineering
,
API Development
, and
BI Visualization
, all built on top of our
AWS-powered Databricks Lakehouse
architecture.

You will be instrumental in turning petabytes of raw data into actionable insights, with a strong focus on efficiency and cost optimization.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Design & Develop ETL:
    Develop, optimize, and maintain complex
    ETL/ELT data pipelines
    using
    PySpark/Python
    within the Databricks environment.
  • API Development:
    Build and maintain
    Data APIs
    to integrate processed data with internal applications and external services.
  • BI & Analytics:
    Design and build interactive
    dashboards
    directly on top of Databricks (or utilizing tools like Power BI) for data visualization and reporting.
  • FinOps Focus:
    Actively monitor and tune Spark clusters and data storage to ensure
    cost-efficient data processing
    and operational excellence in the AWS cloud.
  • Global Collaboration:
    Work closely with global BI, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams across different time zones.

Must-Haves (Technical Requirements)

  • Proven Experience:
    3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or Databricks Developer.
  • Databricks Mastery:
    Demonstrated expertise in the Databricks platform, including Spark optimization and Delta Lake.
  • Cloud Stack:
    Deep knowledge of
    Big Data
    concepts and extensive experience working within the
    AWS cloud environment
    (S3, EMR, Glue, etc.).
  • Coding Skills:
    High proficiency in
    Python
    and
    SQL
    for data manipulation and transformation.
  • FinOps Mindset:
    Practical experience or strong understanding of
    FinOps
    principles, focusing on cost efficiency in cloud data processing.
  • Global Availability:
    Excellent English communication skills and willingness to work
    evening hours
    (Mondays and Wednesdays, approx. 18:00–19:00 IST) to align with US-based teams.

  • Experience developing interactive dashboards using
    Power BI
    .
  • Familiarity with BI processes and data governance within large-scale, enterprise organizations.
  • Experience with
    MLflow
    or MLOps practices is a plus.
