Firewall Specialist

We are seeking a
Firewall Specialist
to join our
Information Security & Networking team
in a leading defense organization.

This role requires hands-on expertise in managing enterprise firewall systems, defining and enforcing security policies, and troubleshooting complex networking and security issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration, maintenance, and upgrades of enterprise Firewall systems (e.g., Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
  • Configuration hardening in alignment with organizational security policies.
  • Investigating suspicious traffic and responding to security incidents.
  • Designing and implementing new network security solutions.
  • Participating in secure network architecture planning.
  • Collaborating closely with Networking, Infrastructure, and SOC teams.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of proven experience with enterprise firewall systems.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, VPN, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with NAT, VPN, QoS, policies, and rule configuration.
  • Practical expertise with at least one leading Firewall technology:
    Check Point / Palo Alto / Fortinet
    .
  • Knowledge of information security standards and regulations (ISO27001, NIST, GDPR – advantage).
  • Experience in writing security specifications/policies – advantage.
  • Scripting knowledge (Bash / Python) – strong advantage.
