About the Role:
We're looking for a Junior–Mid Level Content Editor with strong writing skills and hands-on experience using AI tools for content creation and editing. You'll work closely with the Senior Content Editor to refine and optimize content produced by our top-tier vendors, freelancers, and in-house team, ensuring every piece we publish is accurate, insightful, and delivers the best answer online.

This isn't a role for someone who just proofreads. We need an editor who can rewrite, restructure, and enrich content, apply SEO best practices, and experiment with AI-powered workflows to make our publishing sharper and faster. You'll also take on light content management responsibilities like creating briefs for external writers and uploading content to WordPress from time to time. What You'll Do:

• Edit & Optimize Content:
  Ensure articles are accurate, engaging, and value-packed.
• AI-Powered Workflows:
  Use AI tools to brainstorm, restructure, analyze competitors, and improve content depth and quality.
• Rewrite & Restructure:
  Fix unclear sections, rewrite where needed, and enhance readability and flow.
• SEO & Search Relevance:
  Apply SEO principles and optimize content for both Google and AI search visibility.
• Accuracy Checks:
  Make sure Connecteam's features and value proposition are represented correctly in every article.
• Hands-On Writing:
  Contribute intros, summaries, FAQs, and occasional full articles.
• Content Briefs:
  Prepare briefs for vendors and freelancers to ensure alignment with our style and standards.
• Content Management:
  Upload and format articles in WordPress as needed to meet deadlines.
• Experiment & Innovate:
  Test new formats, tools, and ideas to help us stay ahead in SEO and AI-driven search.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience:
  2–3 years in an editorial or writing role (B2B SaaS background preferred; newsroom experience a big plus).
• AI Fluency:
  Practical experience with AI writing and editing tools.
• Editing Strength:
  Excellent copy-editing and rewriting ability, with an eye for turning "good enough" into "great."
• Writing Skills:
  Strong writer who can craft clear, helpful, and compelling sections.
• SEO Familiarity:
  Working knowledge of SEO and on-page optimization (we'll teach you the deeper strategy).
• Content Management Skills:
  Comfortable creating briefs and handling content uploads in a CMS (WordPress experience is a strong plus).
• Curiosity & Drive:
  Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves experimenting, and always looks for ways to improve.
• Tools:
  Comfortable with Google Docs, CMS platforms (WordPress is a plus), SEO tools like SEMrush/Ahrefs, and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Jasper.
