About the position:

Salt is expanding and seeking an outstanding Product Manager to join our product group. If you have strong leadership skills, a proactive problem-solving approach, an entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, and a steep learning curve - we are looking for you.

You will play a pivotal role in driving our data collection capabilities, which are vital components enabling our entire API security value chain - from APIs discovery to APIs vulnerabilities detection, and all the way to API thread monitoring. You will get to demonstrate your deep understanding of cloud architecture, API architecture ecosystem, excellent relationship-building skills with partners and internal stakeholders, and your ability to translate complex technical situations into smart product solutions.

What will you do:

• Take full ownership of our Salt data Collectors from third-party vendors, managing their full life cycle from streamlined deployment to accurate and efficient data acquisition.
• Develop, cultivate, and nurture technical partnerships with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, cloud service providers, and third-party integrators, to enhance data acquisition capabilities.
• Leverage your in-depth understanding of cloud technologies and ecosystem components to guide the evolution of data collection strategies.
• Collaborate with dozens of industry partners from the cloud, security, and API management ecosystems, to strengthen the technological and go-to-market partnerships, and ultimately create integrations that scale across billions of API calls.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to define and prioritize technical requirements, ensuring alignment with product roadmap and business goals.
• Collaborate with the Product Management team to contribute to the creation and refinement of the product roadmap, incorporating data acquisition strategies and improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market demands, and competitor offerings to inform data acquisition strategy and product enhancements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in technical product management or related roles, with a focus on data acquisition, API technologies, and cloud technologies
• Experience in working with B2B SaaS/Cloud products
• Strong technical background or hands-on experience in software development
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc., and experience with APIs and data collection methodologies
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to foster partnerships with technical stakeholders and external partners
• problem-solving skills with a track record of translating complex technical concepts into actionable product strategies
• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create clear technical documentation and present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
• MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent - Advantage
