We are seeking an experienced and driven DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who combines deep infrastructure expertise with strong software engineering skills, and who is passionate about building platforms that enable engineering excellence at scale. You will help shape the future of our infrastructure, empowering Guardz to deliver security solutions faster and more reliably to hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses.

This is a hands-on engineering-focused role where you'll design, build, and evolve cloud-native infrastructure across multiple environments. You will lead the development of scalable platforms, write production-grade code for infrastructure automation, and ensure reliability, observability, and security are engineered into our systems from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of Guardz's cloud infrastructure, driving improvements in performance, scalability, and security across our GCP-based environment.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions supporting GCP, AWS, and Azure environments using engineering best practices (testing, code review, versioning)
  • Build self-service platforms and internal developer tools that empower developers to deploy, monitor, and manage their services independently and safely
  • Develop production-grade observability solutions—including monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems—that proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to influence architectural decisions that optimize for reliability, scalability, and delivery speed.
  • Lead on-call practices and incident response efforts, turning outages into learning opportunities and platform enhancements.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies as we mature our platform, enabling safe and rapid delivery of features
  • Help evolve Guardz from embedded DevOps to a platform team, shaping the infrastructure roadmap as we scale.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or platform engineering roles with demonstrated impact in scaling systems.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GCP, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Strong software engineering background, with the ability to build tools and automation—not just configure systems.
  • Proven experience in fast-paced environments, ideally across both early-stage startups and high-growth scale-ups.
  • Solid knowledge of observability tools and practices (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to debug complex distributed systems
  • Experience designing and operating secure infrastructure; strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with developers in a dynamic, iterative environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership culture with a focus on impact, learning, and continuous improvement.
