Head of Finops

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced FinOps professional to serve as the leading figure for the FinOps domain at CloudHiro.

In this role, you'll own all FinOps-related activities — driving cloud cost optimization, improving financial visibility, and ensuring measurable value for our customers.

This position combines hands-on FinOps work with professional leadership and involves close collaboration with senior management, R&D, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as CloudHiro's FinOps lead and subject-matter expert
• Analyze cloud usage and drive cost optimization initiatives with measurable outcomes
• Define and maintain methodologies, tools, and best practices for cloud cost management
• Collaborate with R&D and leadership teams to embed FinOps principles across operations
• Lead customer account reviews and deliver financial and technical optimization insights
• Mentor and guide team members involved in FinOps and cost optimization activities
• Translate analytical insights into actionable business recommendations

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Optimization, or Cloud Economics
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS / Azure / GCP cost management tools
• Deep analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into business insights
• Strong ownership and ability to independently manage a domain end-to-end
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with both executives and customers
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, or Computer Science – advantage
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent certification – advantage
