GCC Innovation Diplomacy Director

SNC is currently seeking an Innovation Diplomacy Director to expand its relationships and activities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC).

The Director will be leading the efforts of SNC in the GCC. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for proactively generating, managing, cultivating and analyzing opportunities and relationships to introduce and integrate Israeli innovation and knowhow that could address major challenges in the target geographies. S/he will be generating and filtering opportunities, managing ongoing relationships, and creating scalable models to improve operational procedures within the region.

Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Strategic Partnerships management, Trade Promotion, Government Relations or an equivalent business function, preferably within the region. Consulting background is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the leading countries within the GCC region, preferably having established contacts in some of them.
  • Understanding of the Israeli innovation and technology landscape.
  • Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable workplans and proven record of execution.
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, projects, and relationships simultaneously.
  • Analytical and creative mindset, able to visualize the "big picture" and connect it to specific programs
  • High level of people skills.
  • Fluent in speaking, writing and reading English. Hebrew and Arabic are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout the region (dual citizenship an advantage).
  • Excellent written, oral and digital presentation skills. Experience with public speaking is a plus.
  • High level of energy and positive attitude. 
Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of the region, including major local and regional needs and challenges, government agencies and officials, large corporates, as well as identifying potential partners.
  • Translate the region's challenges into tangible medium and short-term goals and work plans.
  • Research companies and individuals to identify the decision makers and educate them about engaging with Israeli innovation.
  • Initiate, filter and manage the relationship with organizations, investors, government officials and business leaders.
  • Follow-up, regularly review and analyze the status and evolution of business relations.
  • Prepare reports for existing and prospective clients.
  • Work with the Marketing and Comms departments on promoting Israeli tech in GCC.
  • Lead innovation diplomacy aspects of region-related processes and activities within Start-Up Nation Central.
