Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager – South EMEA, based in Israel, will be responsible for leading and expanding Altera's business across Southern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
This strategic role combines regional sales leadership, customer engagement, and team management. You will drive revenue growth, oversee the regional sales organization, and ensure Altera's technologies achieve strong design-in traction across key markets.
Reporting to the VP Sales, EMEA, you will play a critical role in shaping Altera's go-to-market strategy, managing a high-performing regional sales team, and aligning technical, marketing, and channel resources to deliver customer success.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the South EMEA sales strategy, aligned with Altera's EMEA business objectives.
Lead, coach, and develop the regional sales team, setting clear goals and ensuring high performance across the region.
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1s, and design partners in target markets such as communications, data center, automotive, and industrial.
Manage key customer relationships to ensure long-term growth and design-win success.
Collaborate closely with Field Application Engineers (FAEs), product marketing, and business units to deliver comprehensive technical and commercial support.
Lead forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting for the South EMEA region.
Drive operational excellence through disciplined account planning and CRM utilization.
Negotiate commercial agreements and manage pricing and supply discussions within corporate policies.
Monitor market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer requirements, providing insights to EMEA leadership and product teams.
Manage and align regional distributors and channel partners to ensure strong demand creation and market coverage.
Represent Altera at industry events, trade shows, and executive customer meetings across the region.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
10+ years of experience in semiconductor sales, including 3+ years in a regional or team leadership role.
Proven track record in managing multinational sales teams and achieving growth targets in complex markets.
Strong technical knowledge of FPGA, SoC, and semiconductor solutions, with the ability to translate technology into customer value.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and execution capabilities.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Hebrew or other regional languages is an advantage.
Willingness to travel extensively within the South EMEA region.
