We're building a fascinating AI-first fast-moving project with a strong focus on speed, quality, and reliability. The work is hands-on and practical, using today's most in-demand tools and infrastructure across AI engineering, backend, frontend, and deployment.

Role: AI Engineer (Contract
• Remote)

We're looking for a
talented AI Engineer
to join our team and design, build, and deploy core AI systems and algorithms for the project. This is a hands-on role where you'll implement production-grade features, improve performance and reliability, and experience a huge learning curve while taking high responsibility for delivering systems end-to-end. You'll also help lead 1-2 developers by breaking work into clear tasks and reviewing PRs.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/LLM-driven components and algorithms in production.
  • Build and improve AI-agent workflows, tool-calling, and automation pipelines.
  • Collaborate on architecture decisions across backend, data, and infrastructure.
  • Turn goals into clear GitHub issues/tasks and coordinate delivery with 1-2 developers.
  • Maintain engineering standards: testing, monitoring, stability, and cost optimization.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of AI and backend features across the full project roadmap.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of industry experience (or deep knowledge and practical experience developing GenAI production systems/projects) with: Python, LLMs, AI agents, MCP, PydanticAI, LangGraph, PostgreSQL, Redis, Vector databases,
    Google Cloud, GitHub + GitHub Actions, JavaScript / TypeScript.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy production systems.
  • Ability to lead 1-2 developers by breaking work into clear tasks and reviewing PRs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Ability to work effectively with AI coding tools - especially Claude Code and Cursor.
  • Integrity and trustworthiness first, plus ambition, curiosity, and a strong drive to learn and improve fast.
  • Degree is a plus (preferred, not required):
    Bachelor's / Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Must be from Israel and comfortable working from Tel Aviv (if needed).

  • Side/personal projects built with LLMs and AI agents.
  • Great spoken and written English.
