Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to own outbound prospecting and pipeline generation. This is a hands-on role focused on identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers across key markets and verticals.

The BDR will work closely with the Sales team and leadership, playing a critical role in building Urecsys's outbound sales engine from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outbound, structured experimentation, and learning how to sell complex, value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Outbound & Pipeline Generation

  • Proactively identify and research target accounts and key decision-makers.
  • Execute outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone, and other relevant channels.
  • Personalize messaging based on industry, role, and regulatory context.
  • Book qualified discovery meetings for the Sales team.

Qualification & Discovery

  • Conduct initial discovery calls to qualify leads based on ICP criteria.
  • Understand customer pain points related to energy, regulation, HVAC, and sustainability.
  • Clearly articulate Urecsys's value proposition at a high level.
  • Maintain clean handoff to the Sales team with structured notes and context.

Process, Tools & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate CRM records (activities, contacts, pipeline stages).
  • Track outbound performance metrics (response rates, meetings booked, conversion).
  • Continuously test and optimize messaging, sequences, and channels.
  • Share market feedback with sales, marketing, and product teams.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Sales team on target accounts and outbound strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, events, and content usage.
  • Support account-based efforts for strategic prospects.

Must-Haves:

  • Native English speaker or near-native fluency.
  • 1–3 years of experience in outbound BDR / SDR / sales development roles.
  • Proven experience with outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, phone).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and learning complex products.
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and metrics-driven.
  • Curious mindset with strong willingness to learn.
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Strong Advantages:

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, cleantech, proptech, HVAC, energy, or facilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.).
  • Experience selling into regulated industries.
  • Additional languages are a strong bonus, especially Italian, Spanish, French, or German.
