Senior System Engineer
to join our fast-paced, innovative team developing LiDAR systems for autonomous vehicles. We are looking for a talented hands-on individual contributor and feature owner, to lead multi-disciplinary systems development and integration, from KPI and data analysis and algorithm prototyping to customer delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system engineering activities across the LiDAR development lifecycle, from concept through validation and integration into vehicle platforms.
  • System-level testing, characterization and modeling.
  • Develop FW algorithms, calibration methods and post processing solutions to complex challenges.
  • Integrate multi-disciplinary sub-systems, including electro-optics, electronics, firmware, mechanics, software, etc.
  • Contribute to requirements definition, system design, and design reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop Python/MATLAB-based simulations, prototypes, and automation tools for rapid proof-of-concept and laboratory equipment control.
  • Communicate technical results and lead development processes according to Automotive SPICE standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on system engineering from a multidisciplinary company, preferably in LiDAR, electro-optics, or related sensor systems.
  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, , Computer Science or equivalent from a leading university (M.Sc. an advantage).
  • Strong understanding of electro-opto-mechanical systems, lasers, detectors, and optical system alignment and calibration, an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for simulation, data analysis, and system modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment and measurements of physical systems (e.g. HW systems, sensors).
  • High level of problem-solving skills and debugging of high complexity systems.
  • Fast learner who can rapidly adapt to new tools, technologies, and workflows.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, demanding environment with a track record of driving projects to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
