E-commerce Operations Manager
to join our team.

Role Overview:

As an E-commerce Operations Manager, you will take a
hands-on role
in managing, optimizing, and expanding the company's Shopify-based e-commerce site. You will oversee all aspects of site performance, security, and user experience. Your role will involve researching and recommending new apps and tools, creating development briefs for seamless integration, and collaborating closely with developers to implement new features and enhance existing ones. Additionally, you will support the company's global expansion by managing the launch of new locales. You will also work closely with the Website Manager and Brand Manager to facilitate content updates, enable promotions, and manage seasonal changes across the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shopify Management:
    Manage, maintain, and optimize the company's Shopify Plus e-commerce platform to ensure seamless functionality, performance, and security.
  • App Research & Integration:
    Research new Shopify apps, collaborate with developers to implement improvements, and manage existing apps to meet evolving business needs.
  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:
    Identify website issues, propose improvement opportunities, and prepare detailed development briefs for developers to implement enhancements.
  • Market Expansion:
    Lead the launch of new locales, ensuring proper localization and alignment with market strategies.
  • Google Tag Manager & Conversion Tracking:
    Configure and manage GTM to track key events, set up tags and triggers, and oversee conversions across multiple marketing platforms such as Facebook and Google.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Partner with in-house and external developers, designers, and third-party vendors to implement advanced functionalities, resolve technical issues, and support new site features. Collaborate with the Brand Manager and Website Manager to ensure alignment on content updates, promotions, and seasonal changes.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Conduct regular audits of the website to identify technical issues such as speed, responsiveness, and broken links, and implement fixes to ensure optimal performance.
  • SEO:
    Lead SEO audits and content optimization workflows in collaboration with external agencies and the in-house team, ensuring consistent updates that target top keywords and align with SEO best practices.
  • A/B Testing:
    Manage A/B testing and other performance evaluation efforts to enhance user experience and conversion rates.
  • Security & Compliance:
    Ensure website security, manage GDPR-related customer requests, and uphold compliance with data protection laws, accessibility standards, and best practices.
  • Staying Current:
    Remain up-to-date with Shopify updates, digital trends, and emerging technologies, proposing ways to keep the site ahead of the competition.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing Shopify-based websites, particularly on Shopify Plus. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and familiarity with back-end technologies (APIs, server-side scripting, data layers, and website schema).
  • Expertise in Google Tag Manager for tag management and conversion tracking, with a strong understanding of optimizing conversion metrics across marketing platforms such as Google, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Experience with theme customization, multi-locale setup, and app integrations. Experience with global website expansion and managing multi-region sites is a plus.
  • Proven experience in SEO, including optimization and delivering measurable improvements in site performance.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, particularly with cross-functional and remote teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
