Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience

This position is onsite, full-time, located at our Corporate Headquarters in the Fulton Market area of Chicago, IL

Summary

This position is required to be onsite, full-time, at our Corporate Headquarters in Chicago, IL. 

The Events Lead is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and flawless execution of Alma's most important events, including national meetings, forums, trade shows, and key corporate gatherings. This role requires a proactive and highly organized leader with a strong background in large-scale event management, budget ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with exceptional executional detail, ensuring events drive measurable business outcomes, enhance brand visibility, and deliver exceptional attendee experiences.

Event Strategy & Execution

· Lead end-to-end planning and execution of major corporate events (e.g., National Sales Meeting, Mid-Year NSM, Alma Academy Forum, and priority trade shows).

· Develop event strategies that align with business goals and support lead generation, engagement, and brand visibility.

· Oversee event logistics, production, content, design, swag, and on-site operations.

· Conduct post-event evaluation, ROI analysis, and reporting to drive continuous improvement.

· Ensure events reflect and reinforce Alma's brand identity and messaging.

Budget & Vendor Management

· Own and manage multi-million-dollar event budgets, including forecasting, allocations, and financial reporting.

· Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with hotels, venues, production companies, and third-party vendors.

· Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and promotional items.

· Ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams to align event strategies with evolving business priorities.

· Build pre- and post-event strategies with Sales and Marketing to maximize impact.

· Anticipate regional needs and adapt event plans as priorities shift.

· Mentor and guide junior staff, contractors, and cross-functional partners to ensure successful collaboration.

Education and Experience Required

· Bachelor's degree (BS/BA), or equivalent experience

· Must have 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate event management (B2B or healthcare/aesthetics preferred).

· Proven success leading large-scale events and managing multi-million-dollar budgets.

· Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).

· Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Flexibility to travel on short notice and over weekends (30–40%).

Skills Required

· Positive attitude and approach to the job responsibilities and the Alma team

· Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

· SAP or Salesforce experience, preferred

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to multitask

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct reports but assists in mentoring peers and other departments as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as offsite at event locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. There may be times when events occur in Medical offices/spaces. The employee must be ok visiting Medical related offices/spaces.

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

This position requires up to 40% travel as needed, including some weekends. Some travel outside of the United States.
