Quantum Applications Engineer

Job Description

As a Quantum Application Engineer, you will work closely with our enterprise customers to help them design, build, and scale real-world quantum applications. You will guide onboarding, lead collaborative projects, and serve as the technical voice of the customer. You will work at the intersection of quantum research, applied engineering, and customer impact.

Responsibilities

Act as a technical champion within key customer accountsLead customer onboarding and training for developers and researchers with varying quantum knowledgeProvide hands-on technical support Design and co-execute projects (e.g., proofs-of-concept, benchmarking studies, joint research)Proactively identify new technical opportunities within customer conversationsCapture customer feedback and translate it into actionable insights for ProductBuild reusable tools, insights, and methodologies that help scale successful solutions across customers

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • PhD in physics, computer science, or a related field to quantum information science
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in quantum algorithm design, research, or software development
  • Strong proficiency in Python and quantum SDKs (e.g., Qmod, Qiskit, PennyLane, Cirq, Tket)
  • Experience leading technical sessions with R&D and engineering teams
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly
  • Fast learner of state-of-the-art quantum algorithms
  • Native-level English fluency - spoken and written
