Senior Mechanical Director Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Director to lead our mechanical department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in managing and scaling multidisciplinary R&D teams.

This role involves developing and executing the strategic direction for mechanical R&D, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the department, and ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical R&D projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor R&D mechanical team leaders and engineers.
  • Develop and execute the strategic direction for mechanical R&D.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the mechanical R&D department.
  • Ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical R&D projects.
  • Manage subcontractors involved in mechanical engineering projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in R&D roles within the medical device industry.
  • Previous experience as a R&D Mechanical Manager of a 10+ sized team.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Hands-on approach, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communicator: written and verbal.
