About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Department Head to lead our mechanical engineering efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping, as well as experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving innovation within R&D departments.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, integrate mechanical components into overall product architecture, and drive business growth through cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the strategic direction for mechanical R&D department in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the R&D mechanical team leaders and engineers, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the mechanical R&D department.
  • Ensure successful project planning, execution, and delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components into overall product architecture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in R&D roles within the medical device industry.
  • Previous experience as a R&D Mechanical Manager of a 10+ sized team.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping.
  • Experience in leading managers, developing, coaching & retaining talents.
  • Ability to lead R&D to deliver major innovation and roadmap items.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Hands-on approach, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
