As a group manager you will work closely with management members and customers and play a key role in driving the company's growth trajectory. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to manage and grow a group of professional talents, build R&D methodologies and lead technological challenges to success.

The group is focused on building Appcharge's webstores platform, monetization capabilities, built-for-scale infrastructure and self-serve capabilities.

You will play a critical role in scaling Appcharge's engineering foundations - ensuring our systems are robust, secure, compliant, and cost-efficient, while mentoring and growing managers and ICs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale multiple engineering teams - driving high performance, collaboration, and alignment with company strategy
  • Translate business and product strategy into technical direction - defining cross-team roadmaps and execution plans in close partnership with Product, Design, and Operations
  • Drive engineering and operational excellence - establish best practices for architecture, scalability, reliability, code quality, testing, CI/CD, and incident response
  • Develop strong engineering leadership and culture - mentor engineering managers, foster innovation, accountability, and continuous learning, and recruit and retain top talent
  • Own delivery and execution outcomes - ensure timely, high-quality project delivery while balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and platform evolution
  • Promote data-driven decision making and strategic alignment - define and track engineering metrics, and partner with executive leadership to align capacity with business priorities

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including large-scale cloud-based architectures, microservices, and DevOps automation (AWS or GCP)
  • 5+ years managing multiple engineering teams in a SaaS or cloud-native environment
  • Proven ability to define and deliver multi-quarter technical roadmaps, translating business strategy into measurable engineering outcomes (e.g., improved delivery velocity, reduced incident rate)
  • Hands-on technical leadership - active participation in architecture reviews, system design discussions, and code quality oversight
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS) and networking fundamentals (VPC, ALB, DNS), including experience improving system reliability and performance KPIs
  • Demonstrated success implementing Agile / Lean frameworks, managing cross-functional squads or tribes, and achieving measurable productivity gains
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience aligning engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders around shared OKRs
  • Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, balancing innovation with delivery discipline
